The color gallery consists predominantly of images that originated as color film or color digital files. Some the images included here have their origin in black and white or infrared film and have been partially colorized in Photoshop. Some of the color photos have simply been partially decolorized. Monochrome
The Monochrome Gallery consists predominantly of black and white photographs, most of which originated as color print negatives, color transparencies, or color digital files and which were subsequently converted to B&W in Photoshop. Some of the earlier photos were taken with black and white film. There are a few true infrared photos, and a smattering of duotones and tritones created in Photoshop. All of the images created after Feb. 2005 originated as digital color files. Some of these images are also represented in the color gallery in their RGB form, and most are available in their original color upon request. All of the sepia-toned and warm-toned images are also available as B&W prints.
